WELCOME to the TABLE
A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
Dear Friends,

This summer marks 18 years since that first potluck meal in Cascades Gateway Park with 20 neighbors I have grown to know as friends. It's been a journey of understanding, joy, pain, and mutual transformation. What began as relationships with 20 unhoused individuals has grown into outreach, care, and stabilization for more than 2,000 people just last year.

At Church at the Park, we believe that every person's story is sacred - marked by blessing, brokenness, strength, and hope. Our team works each day to help people embrace their story as powerful and worthy. Over half of our staff have lived experience of being unhoused themselves. You may already read in our weekly celebrations, stories of guests finding new paths to stability - or even joining our team as staff members.

We are committed to showing up at every table, every community group, every space that wants to partner in supporting our struggling neighbors. Over the past year, we have had the privilege of sharing our mission and people's lived experiences through print, presentations, a dozen storytelling events, and two documentaries.

In truth, it's our community partners and advocates who have challenged us to host this storytelling banquet - to invite even more people to the table and share in the mission of creating spaces of love and acceptance where everyone belongs. WELCOME TO THE TABLE is our invitation to you to be part of this movement. Would you consider helping us set the table - through a sponsorship, a financial gift, or simply by joining us for the event? We would love to see you there!

With gratitude,
DJ Vincent
